I have been writing songs over the last forty years. Somewheres around 95 songs. I started to take up guitar at the age of 24. I'm a late starter. Gave it up a few times due to how frustating it was to play. Teaching myself with books never seemed to work. I started listening to James Taylor and Neil young and many othe artists for inspiration. Once I began to write better songs, the guitar became a tool to create good melodies and put feeling into my songs. So I began to put more effort into learning the guitar. But I am still self taught. It's a slow process for me. Several severe injuries to hands, elbows and shouders have slow down my continued learning. But the songs and music are still in my mind and I will always continue to write songs until my last day on earth.
